If you don't have serving spoons and prefer to present these Creepy Eyeballs on a platter, just spread out the Jell-O and place the eyeballs on top with a speared toothpick.

How to assemble creepy eyeball Jell-O shots on a platter: Get creative with this!Ĭanned lychees can be purchased at the Asian market and specialty markets.

I sprinkled some plastic spiders around the Jell-O shots for effect.

Using tasting spoons (or shot glasses), spoon a teaspoon of the Jell-O onto each spoon and top with a lychee “eyeball.”

Using a fork, break up the set Jell-O.

Place one or two fresh blueberries into the hole of each lychee.

Drain the can of lychees in a colander.

(Leave out the vodka if you want this to be kid-friendly.) Add the vodka (I used Tito's) when you add in the cold water and let set in fridge for about 2 to 4 hours.

I used strawberry-flavored Jell-O for this recipe, but you can use cherry or any red-colored gelatin.

These slimy eyeballs are actually lychees from a can.The lychees sure do look like eyeballs, and conveniently have a hole in the middle so you can insert a blueberry or raspberry for the pupil. But a shot glass will work too if you don't have these adorable porcelain tasting spoons on hand.

If you've ever spiked your Jell-O (remember college?), it's the same way but in a shallow tray instead of a shot glass. I'm sad because I go all in with my costume!
